Living With Spirits Of Dead Family

  It’s very usual that there will still be communication immediately after a loved one dies.  But why?  What is it that our loved ones in heaven want us to know?  Learn the three reasons for signs and visits from the afterlife.

Recently, during a mediumship reading, my client told me that she felt the spirit of her husband coming around her a lot.  She asked me if he needed something, or if he was in distress.  She was worried and wanted to know if he was coming around because he needed her help.

What a sweet woman.  I assured her that he was at peace, and had everything he needed.  After all, they don’t call it heaven for nothing!

Then, I explained the reasons why after death communication takes place:

1. Just Saying Hello

Have you ever called a friend just to say hi?  Maybe you miss them or are curious about what they’ve been up to.

Or, perhaps they’ve been going through a rough time, like dealing with an illness or a divorce, so you just call to say “I’m thinking of you.”

It’s the same for those in spirit.  Sometimes, they just want to send a sign to say, “Hi there, I’m still with you, and I love you!”

After-death communication is like really long-distance, wireless communication!

2.  Letting You Know They’re OK

After death communication is really common after the loss of a loved one.

You might even notice that your family and friends are receiving the same types of signs as you!

For example, in the days after my grandfather died, our family kept seeing the number 11 everywhere:

• We found his army records where the number 11 was prominent.
• My brother won $10 on a lottery ticket. The winning number was 11!
• My uncle was given the number 11 by the coat-check clerk at the restaurant we went to after the funeral service.

It happened so many times and to so many of us that we knew it wasn’t a coincidence.

When this happens after a loss, your loved one is trying to tell you that they’ve crossed over to the other side and are OK.  They are no longer in pain or suffering in any way.

What if I’m not getting any signs from my loved one?

That’s OK.  I pinkie swear promise that there’s no need to worry. 

Some spirits are able to start connecting right away, but others need a little more time to settle in.  So please, don’t worry if you’re not sensing the presence of your loved one right after they pass away.

Also, we are often in such a state of grief that sometimes we don’t notice the signs from heaven.  It doesn’t mean that our loved ones aren’t around.  They are, but sometimes it takes us a little while to notice.

3.  I’m Still Here

After death communication also takes place because our loved ones in heaven want to comfort us.  They do this by letting us know that their spirit is still with us.  What we call death only refers to the physical body.  We are all spiritual beings with souls that never cease to exist.

Our loved ones in heaven see all of our ups and downs, joys and sorrows.  They want us to know that they’re around when we are:

• going through a rough time
• feeling lonely
• missing them
• thinking of them
• celebrating – wedding, new baby in the family, etc.
• coming up on a significant date – like a birthday or anniversary

So, if you’ve got a wedding coming up, your loved one in heaven will be there, celebrating right along with you!

During mediumship readings, those in spirit often talk about the recent events that they’ve seen take place in the family.

I did a reading recently where a son came through to tell his mom that he heard her talking with him on Christmas.  My client was surprised, because she hadn’t told anyone else about this private chat she had with her son in spirit.  It was a special and touching moment.
